The Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers. With the yearly support of thousands of volunteers, the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend has helped Team In Training®(TNT) raise millions of dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TNT, the world's largest endurance sports training program, supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising funds to aid the organization's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend is its largest fund-raising event. Over $11 million was raised during the 2009 race alone. To learn more, visit www.leukemia.org.

Volunteer Registration will open a few months prior to the event.

MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS

Florida Hospital Celebration Health will be providing complete medical coverage for the Family Fun Run, Walt Disney World® Half Marathon and Walt Disney World® Full Marathon races. We invite you to be part of the elite medical team that will provide pre- and post-race support for 50,000+ runners. We need State Certified/Licensed MDs, DOs, PAs, DPMs, ARNPs, RNs, ATCs, PTs, LMTs, PMs and EMTs to volunteer their time to work the marathon. We also welcome students of these professions to apply. Members of the medical team must be willing and able to work the marathon from as early as 2:00 am until as late as 3:00 pm. ELIGIBILITY

• Disney's Health & Fitness Expo, volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

• Disney's Family Fun Run 5K, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.

• 2013 Walt Disney World® Half Marathon, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age, however, some locations have an age requirement of 16 years of age. Please refer to the requirements when registering.

• 2013 Walt Disney World® Marathon, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age, however, some locations have an age requirement of 16 years of age. Please refer to the requirements when registering.

Volunteers under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Volunteers under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Remember that children under the age of 12 are not allowed to volunteer or accompany you. You will be told on the event day that your services cannot be utilized if you have children with you. This is for the safety of your child and everyone else involved.

VOLUNTEER CREDENTIAL PICK UP

Disney's Health & Fitness
Sports Enthusiasts will receive confirmation of the shifts for which they have been scheduled. Confirmations will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the event or emailed after that time. Confirmation will include further information on parking, directions, and other useful information.

Sports Enthusiast MUST pick up their Volunteer Credentials at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on one of the scheduled days listed below. All volunteers must sign a release waiver to obtain your credentials and participate. If you are picking up a credential for another volunteer, please print the waiver and have it signed in advance by the participant. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

SCHEDULE
Sports Enthusiast shifts and activities will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Although every effort will be made to accommodate your selection, the scheduling office reserves the right to schedule volunteers based on event needs, which includes placing volunteers on a waiting list. You will receive a confirmed volunteer schedule closer to the event. Please refrain from requesting schedule changes until you receive your confirmation. Schedules are subject to change.

Disney's Health & Fitness Expo Appreciation

As a Sports Enthusiast for the 2013 Disney's Health & Fitness Expo, you will receive one commemorative piece of apparel for the event (apparel sizes are not guaranteed), and one snack per shift (snacks are typically provided at the start of your shift. If you have special dietary needs, please plan accordingly.) Volunteer for any of the events included in the Annual Sports Enthusiasts Calendar, and you will receive one point for each hour of service completed. For every sixteen (16) points accumulated, you will receive a complimentary Walt Disney World® One Day One Park theme park ticket which entitles you to one visit to any of the following Walt Disney World® Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Theme park tickets will be distributed by mail within sixty days upon earning of every sixteen points.
