The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers. With the yearly support of thousands of volunteers, the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will help Team In Training® (TNT) raise dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TNT, the world's largest endurance sports training program, supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising funds to aid the organization's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Please visit www.leukemia.org for more information.

MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS
Florida Hospital Celebration Health will be providing complete medical coverage for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Saturday, November 10, 2012. We invite you to be a part of the elite medical team that will provide race support for 10,000+ runners. We need 150 volunteers that are state certified/licensed MDs, DOs, PAs, DPMs, ARNPs, RNs, ATCs, PTs, PMs and EMTs to volunteer their time to work the half marathon. As this is a night race, members of the Medical Team must be willing and able to work from as early as 7:30 pm until as late as 2 am. ELIGIBILITY

• Expo & Packet Pick Up, volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

• Disney's Kids' Races, volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

• Disney's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.

• Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, volunteers must be at least 12 years of age, however, some locations have an age requirement of 16 years of age. Please refer to the requirements when registering.

Volunteers under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Volunteers under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Remember that children under the age of 12 are not allowed to volunteer or accompany you. You will be told on the event day that your services cannot be utilized if you have children with you. This is for the safety of your child and everyone else involved.

Sports Enthusiasts will receive confirmation of the shifts for which they have been scheduled. Confirmations will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the event or emailed after that time. Confirmation will include further information on parking, directions, and other useful information.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon
Sports Enthusiast MUST pick up their Volunteer Credentials at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on one of the scheduled days listed below. All volunteers must sign a release waiver to obtain your credentials and participate. If you are picking up a credential for another volunteer, please print the waiver and have it signed in advance by the participant. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

SCHEDULE
Sports Enthusiast shifts and activities will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Although every effort will be made to accommodate your selection, the scheduling office reserves the right to schedule volunteers based on event needs, which includes placing volunteers on a waiting list. You will receive a confirmation packet closer to the event. Please refrain from requesting schedule changes until you receive your confirmation kit. Schedules are subject to change.

Expo & Packet Pick Up and Disney's Kids' Races Appreciation

As a Sports Enthusiast for the 2012 Expo & Packet Pick Up and Disney's Kids' Races, you will receive one commemorative piece of apparel for the event (apparel sizes are not guaranteed), and one snack per shift (snacks are typically provided at the start of your shift. If you have special dietary needs, please plan accordingly.) Volunteer for any of the events included in the Annual Sports Enthusiasts Calendar, and you will receive one point for each hour of service completed. For every sixteen (16) points accumulated, you will receive a complimentary Walt Disney World® One Day One Park theme park ticket which entitles you to one visit to any of the following Walt Disney World® Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Theme park tickets will be distributed by mail within sixty days upon earning of every sixteen points.
