The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler has reached capacity. For guaranteed registration, there are a few entries remaining through Charity Groups and Travel Operators.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler is a nighttime road race that will end in the shadows of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Your run into the fifth dimension will also take you to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex before returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios where the course will feature the Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, then turn down New York Street, wind past the Sorcerer's Hat and return you to an unforgettable finish at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.

Runners and Guests can party in the shadow of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ at the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash where you will enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ , Star Tours, Muppet*Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania!, in addition to DJs and character meet & greets with your favorite Disney Villains.
Admission to the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash is included in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler race registration. Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Ticket quantities for friends and family are limited and not guaranteed. Based on availability, Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Tickets will be available for purchase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during Packet Pick-up. Tickets are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy
Entry fees for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend events are non-refundable.
Proof of Time
Proof of Time is used for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler only. This does not apply to the Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run or the runDisney Kids' Races.
If you believe you will finish the 10-Miler in less than 2 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement. Please provide proof of time when you register for the 10-Miler.
Proof of time should include name of race, year, distance and time finished (i.e. 2010 Disneyland® Half Marathon - 2:25). If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration. Proof of time must be from a 10K race or longer. All forms of proof of time must be from a race after July 1, 2011. If you do not provide proof of time you will be placed in the last start corral.
If you do not provide proof of time at the point of registration or acquire it after you have registered, then email this information to disneysports@trackshack.com before August 1, 2012. After August 1, 2012, you will need to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth at the Disney Health & Fitness Expo if you wish to have your start corral placement changed. If you listed a race result as proof of time when registering online, then you do not have to do anything further.
Eligibility
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler
To compete, you must be 12 years of age or older.
Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run
All ages are welcome to compete. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
runDisney Kids' Races
Race distances are determined by age group.
Pacing Requirements
All athletes entering the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler or Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race. Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces may be picked up and transported to the finish. You may be picked up at any point along the course and transported for not maintaining pace. It is suggested that you train at a 15-minute per mile pace.

Event Details
Race Instructions
The official program guide and final race instructions for each race will be posted here before the event.
Waiver/Packet Pick-Up
Waivers will be provided approximately one month before the race. To pick up your race packet, you must bring a Photo ID and your signed waiver. A waiver must be completed and signed by each participant. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions will be made.
If you are not able to attend Packet Pick-Up, the individual picking up on your behalf must provide the following items as well as his/her Photo ID:
- A copy of the participant's Photo ID
- Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form (Available approximately one month before the start of the event)
- Event waiver signed by the participant (Waivers will be available approximately one month before the start of the event)
All of these items must be provided and no exceptions will be made.
Bag Check
You will receive a clear plastic bag at Packet Pick-Up, please use this bag for the bag check service. We will not accept any other type of bag. You will also receive a numbered bag check sticker at Packet Pick-Up. You should place the sticker in the clearly defined area on your clear plastic bag. Please attach the sticker to the clear plastic bag prior to arriving at Bag Check. Once you finish, your race number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up. Unclaimed bags will be transferred to Disney's Hollywood Studios Guest Relations, located to the left of the main park entrance. Please do not check any valuable items. The Event Staff is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items. Articles of clothing that are found on the course will be donated to charity.
Bib Numbers
Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race. If a runner is seen without their bib number while running on the course, they will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons. Please remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the back of the bib number.
Timing & Results
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler is a timed event and the ChronoTrack timing system will be used for this race. When you receive your race bib, your ChronoTrack B-Tag will be attached to the back. Do not remove, bend or break the ChronoTrack B-Tag. The ChronoTrack B-Tag records your official and net time. The net time is the time it takes you to get from the start line mats to the finish line mats and will be used to determine the scoring for awards. Please do not alter the ChronoTrack B-Tag in any way. Without the B-Tag, your official time WILL NOT be recorded.
Results will be posted at runDisney.com/TowerofTerror following the conclusion of the race.

Overall Awards
Overall 10 mile male, female, and wheelchair winners will receive their awards at an Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. The following awards will be presented on-site at the Awards Ceremony. Please note, overall awards are based on Gun Time unless otherwise noted.

Masters, Military, & Age Group Awards
The Masters, Military, & Age Group awards listed below for the 10 mile race will be distributed by mail after the event. (Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.) Because of the number of people who participate in the 10 mile race, it can often take several minutes to cross the start line. In the interest of fairness, masters, military, and age group award winners will be based on Net Time.

Safety
Reminder
For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area. Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
You are allowed to and even encouraged to wear a costume while running the event, however, your costume cannot include a face mask for security and safety reasons. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either have you change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.
Weather
The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area the race will either have a delayed start or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the Event Management staff.
The Walt Disney World® Resort Lightning Policy
Event operations will shut down when lightning is 10 miles out from the event areas. Event operations will not resume until the lightning is 10 miles out moving away from the event areas. Sports Manager will determine this using the *Flash to Bang Rule* and weather radar. The Sports Manager will consult with Walt Disney World® Resort Management on a course of action to utilize the operational rain plan, delay the event, or cancel the event.
*Flash to Bang Rule* is applied by measuring the time (in seconds) between a visual lightning "Flash" and hearing the resulting "Bang". This time is then divided by a factor of "5" to obtain distance in miles. For example, 50 seconds between "Flash" and "Bang" divided by "5" equals 10 miles.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Event Transportation has been arranged for those staying at select Event Host Resorts. Buses will be indicated by event transportation signs placed in the front windows and will run every 20 minutes from Walt Disney World® Resorts to the following events:

Please note, event transportation is only provided to and from the Host Resorts. If you are staying at a Host Resort, please check with your front desk for a pick-up location. How do I know if I'm registered?
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that will serve as your only confirmation of registration. To receive another registration confirmation, please visit our Registration Confirmation page.
Is there a minimum age to register for the race?
You must be at least 12 years old to participate in the 10-Miler. To view the age requirements for the 5K and Kids' Races, please see the Registration page.
Does my race registration include entry into the park?
Race registration includes entry into the Walt Disney World® theme parks only during the races. You will not need a ticket to participate in any of the Weekend events.
For visits to Theme Parks during the rest of your stay at the Walt Disney World® Resort, tickets must be purchased separately. Specially-priced Theme Park tickets can be purchased by calling 407-WDW-IRUN or visiting our Online Ticket Store.
Do I need to submit proof of time?
Submitting a proof of time is only for 10-Miler corral placement, which is based on your anticipated finish time. Please see our Registration page for information about submitting a proof of time. If you do not submit a proof of time, you will be placed in the last start corral.
What if I have a better proof of time than when I first registered?
Please email your updated proof of time (include the race you registered for, your official race time, along with the year and name of the race) to disneysports@trackshack.com by August 1, 2012. After August 1, all proof of time updates must be made during the Expo at the Runner Relations booth.
Can my race registration be refunded?
Entry fees for the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend Weekend events are non-refundable.
I did not purchase a commemorative item during registration, can I purchase one now?

Where do I pick up my race packet?
You must pick up your race packet at Disney's Health and Fitness Expo held in the Jostens® Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
If I can't attend the race, can my race packet be mailed to me?
Unfortunately, we are unable to mail race packets, goody bags, race shirts, commemorative pins, or commemorative Mickey ears.
Is Packet Pick-Up available the night of the race?
No, all The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend race packets must be picked up at Disney's Health and Fitness Expo and will not be available the night of the race.
Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-Up?
To pick up your race packet, you must bring a photo ID and your signed waiver. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers will be available one month before the event and on-site at the Expo.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes, the individual picking up on your behalf must provide a Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form signed by the participant, a copy of the participant's Photo ID, and the event waiver signed by the participant as well as their own photo ID.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend races will be held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning. For the Walt Disney World® Lightning Policy, please seee our Safety page.
Is there a pacing requirement for the race?
Yes, there is a 16-minute per mile pace for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler and 5K races.Your time starts when you cross the start line timing mat and your B-tag is activated. We suggest that you train for a 15 minute per mile pace to allow time for restroom breaks, photo opportunities, etc.
What happens if I can't keep up with the pacing requirement for any of the weekend events?
Anyone not able to maintain the pace may be picked up and transported to the family reunion area at any point along the course.
Are you allowed to wear a costume for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler and 5K?
Yes, but your costume cannot include a face mask. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either ask you to change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.
Can I use my iPod, MP3 player or headphones?
Headphones can be worn but are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
Will bag check be available for this race?
Yes, for more information, please see the "Bag Check" information on the Event Details page of the website.
If my friend or family member is assigned to a different corral, can we change corrals?
Corral placement is based on each individuals anticipated finish time. The person placed in the faster corral is allowed to move back to a slower corral, but no one is allowed to move forward.
How many water and food stops will be located on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler course?
A total of 5 Dasani water and PowerAde stops will be located along The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler course. Stops are placed approximately 1.5 miles apart along the course and both Dasani water and PowerAde will be available at all stops. *Number and location of water stops are subject to change at any time. Please see the Course page for more information.
Is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler course certified?
Yes, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler course is certified by USA Track & Field.
Which timing splits will be provided for the Half Marathon and Marathon?
Your race results for the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler will include splits for the 5K, 10K and finish. Your overall gun and net time are also provided.
Where can I find my race results?
You will be able to view your results on the Results page of our site and will be posted online within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race.
How do I find my race photos after the race?
Please visit brightroom.com to view your race photos. You will need your race number to access your photos. Please allow 48 hours after the race for photos to be loaded.
Is there an awards ceremony?
Yes, top finisher awards for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler will be presented at the awards ceremony. Age group awards will be mailed following the race. Please allow for 4-6 weeks delivery. Please see our Awards page for more information on awards and the awards ceremony.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend transportation has been arranged for all race activities for participants staying at one of the Event Host Resorts. Guests not staying at a Host Walt Disney World® resort will need to provide their own transportation to the Expo and various race sites.

How do I get to the various race starts?
Participants staying at one of the Event Host Resorts should use event transportation to reach all of the Weekend's events. For pick up locations and times, please see your front desk when you check into your resort. Guests not staying at a Host Resort will need to provide their own transportation and those driving personal vehicles will be required to park at ESPN Wide World of Sports. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AT Disney's Hollywood Studios ON RACE EVENING. For runners driving to ESPN Wide World of Sports on race evening. For more information please visit our Transportation page.

If I'm staying at an Epcot® resort, can I walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios to reach the start line?
If staying at the Boardwalk Resort, or the Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort, you can walk from your resort to the start at Disney's Hollywood Studios and then back following the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash. The Friendship Boats will also be running to and from Disney's Hollywood Studios for guests staying at an Epcot® Resort.

What if I am not staying at a host resort?
No transportation will be provided for guests staying at a non-host resort even if it is on Walt Disney World® property. Parking will be available at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex ONLY. Parking will not be available at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests will take a shuttle from the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

SPECTATOR VIEWING
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Viewing Locations
Spectators are encouraged to view the 10-Miler start at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you wish to view the races from inside the park or at the finish, you will need to purchase a Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Tickets Ticket. No course viewing areas will be available outside of Disney's Hollywood Studios.
DISNEY VILLAINS HOLLYWOOD BASH TICKETS
Friends and family can purchase Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Tickets. Anyone wishing to enter Disney's Hollywood Studios from 10:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. will need to purchase a Party Ticket. Friends and family who want to watch the race from inside the theme park must purchase a Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Ticket. Guests will enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, Star Tours, Muppet*Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania!, in addition to DJs and character meet & greets.
Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Ticket quantities for friends and family are limited and not guaranteed. Based on availability, Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Tickets will be available for purchase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during Packet Pick-up. Tickets are non-refundable.
