The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler is a nighttime road race that will end in the shadows of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Your run into the fifth dimension will also take you to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex before returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios where the course will feature the Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, then turn down New York Street, wind past the Sorcerer's Hat and return you to an unforgettable finish at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.

Runners and Guests can party in the shadow of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ at the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash where you will enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ , Star Tours, Muppet*Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania!, in addition to DJs and character meet & greets with your favorite Disney Villains.

Admission to the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash is included in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler race registration. Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Ticket quantities for friends and family are limited and not guaranteed. Cancellation Policy

Entry fees for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend events are non-refundable.

Proof of Time

Proof of Time is used for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler only. This does not apply to the Disney Family Fun Run 5K or the runDisney Kids' Races.

If you believe you will finish the 10-Miler in less than 2 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement. Please provide proof of time when you register for the 10-Miler.

Proof of time should include name of race, year, distance and time finished (i.e. 2010 Disneyland® Half Marathon - 2:25). If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration. Proof of time must be from a 10K race or longer. All forms of proof of time must be from a race after July 1, 2011. If you do not provide proof of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

If you do not provide proof of time at the point of registration or acquire it after you have registered, then email this information to disneysports@trackshack.com before August 1, 2012. After August 1, 2012, you will need to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth at the Disney Health & Fitness Expo if you wish to have your start corral placement changed. If you listed a race result as proof of time when registering online, then you do not have to do anything further.

Eligibility

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler
To compete, you must be 12 years of age or older.

Disney Family Fun Run 5K
All ages are welcome to compete. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.

runDisney Kids' Races
Race distances are determined by age group.

Pacing Requirements

All athletes entering the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler or Disney's Family Fun Run 5K must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race. Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces may be picked up and transported to the finish. You may be picked up at any point along the course and transported for not maintaining pace. It is suggested that you train at a 15-minute per mile pace.

Event Details

Race Instructions

The official program guide and final race instructions for each race will be posted here before the event.

Waiver/Packet Pick-Up

Waivers will be provided approximately one month before the race. To pick up your race packet, you must bring a Photo ID and your signed waiver. A waiver must be completed and signed by each participant. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions will be made.

If you are not able to attend Packet Pick-Up, the individual picking up on your behalf must provide the following items as well as his/her Photo ID:

• A copy of the participant's Photo ID
• Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form (Available approximately one month before the start of the event)
• Event waiver signed by the participant (Waivers will be available approximately one month before the start of the event)

All of these items must be provided and no exceptions will be made.

Bag Check

You will receive a clear plastic bag at Packet Pick-Up, please use this bag for the bag check service. We will not accept any other type of bag. You will also receive a numbered bag check sticker at Packet Pick-Up. You should place the sticker in the clearly defined area on your clear plastic bag. Please attach the sticker to the clear plastic bag prior to arriving at Bag Check. Once you finish, your race number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up. Unclaimed bags will be transferred to Disney's Hollywood Studios Guest Relations, located to the left of the main park entrance. Please do not check any valuable items. The Event Staff is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items. Articles of clothing that are found on the course will be donated to charity.

Bib Numbers

Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race. If a runner is seen without their bib number while running on the course, they will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons. Please remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the back of the bib number.

Timing & Results

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler is a timed event and the ChronoTrack timing system will be used for this race. When you receive your race bib, your ChronoTrack B-Tag will be attached to the back. Do not remove, bend or break the ChronoTrack B-Tag. The ChronoTrack B-Tag records your official and net time. The net time is the time it takes you to get from the start line mats to the finish line mats and will be used to determine the scoring for awards. Please do not alter the ChronoTrack B-Tag in any way. Without the B-Tag, your official time WILL NOT be recorded.

Results will be posted at runDisney.com/TowerofTerror following the conclusion of the race.

Safety

Reminder

For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area. Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.

You are allowed to and even encouraged to wear a costume while running the event, however, your costume cannot include a face mask for security and safety reasons. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either have you change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.

Weather

The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area the race will either have a delayed start or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the Event Management staff.

The Walt Disney World® Resort Lightning Policy

Event operations will shut down when lightning is 10 miles out from the event areas. Event operations will not resume until the lightning is 10 miles out moving away from the event areas. Sports Manager will determine this using the *Flash to Bang Rule* and weather radar. The Sports Manager will consult with Walt Disney World® Resort Management on a course of action to utilize the operational rain plan, delay the event, or cancel the event.

*Flash to Bang Rule* is applied by measuring the time (in seconds) between a visual lightning "Flash" and hearing the resulting "Bang". This time is then divided by a factor of "5" to obtain distance in miles. For example, 50 seconds between "Flash" and "Bang" divided by "5" equals 10 miles.

Buses will be indicated by event transportation signs placed in the front windows and will run every 20 minutes from Walt Disney World® Resorts to the following events:

SPECTATOR VIEWING

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Viewing Locations

Spectators are encouraged to view the 10-Miler start at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you wish to view the races from inside the park or at the finish, you will need to purchase a Disney Villians Hollywood Bash Tickets Ticket. No course viewing areas will be available outside of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

DISNEY VILLIANS HOLLYWOOD BASH TICKETS

Friends and family can purchase Disney Villians Hollywood Bash Tickets. Anyone wishing to enter Disney's Hollywood Studios from 10:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. will need to purchase a Party Ticket. Friends and family who want to watch the race from inside the theme park must purchase a Disney Villians Hollywood Bash Ticket. Purchase Theme Park tickets through our Online Ticket Store. Your password to access the Online Ticket Store will be sent to you in your Registration Confirmation email.

Purchase Magic Your Way Theme Park Tickets* to give you and your family entry to one Theme Park per day, each day of your ticket. Choose the length of your ticket** and be sure to add these fun-filled options to maximize your fun at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

• Park Hopper® Option – Enjoy the flexibility to come and go through Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park on the same day for the entire length of your ticket!
• Water Park Fun & More Option*** – Include the Water Park Fun & More Option to enjoy admission to other exciting attracts at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Select from two fabulous Water Parks, DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or a round of golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, a relaxed, nine-hole walking course designed for the entire family.
